Baildon Carnival is one of those days that brings the whole village out, and this year we were really pleased to play a small part in it by sponsoring the paramedic stand.

The paramedic stand is the calm spot in the middle of all the fun. On a busy day with big crowds, little ones running about and plenty of sun, it is reassuring to know there is somewhere to go for a plaster, a sit down in the shade or a bit of help if something goes wrong. Most people will never need it, and that is exactly the point. Having it there, staffed and ready, is what lets everyone else relax and enjoy the day.

For us it was an easy yes. We are a Baildon business through and through, our showroom is here, and a lot of the faces at the carnival are the same ones who pop in to talk worktops on a Saturday morning. As Michala put it, this is our community, and if a bit of support helps the team be there for the families of Baildon, then it is money very well spent.

A big thank you to the paramedic crew and to everyone who worked so hard to make the day happen. If you were there this year, we hope you had a brilliant time. Here is to next year’s carnival.
